Attendee: $210 per person for both nights
Location: Perth Observatory
Date: 23rd (theory) - 24th (workshop) of March and May (March is sold out)
Time: 7:00 pm – 9:30 pm (Doors open at: 6:30 pm)
This workshop is strategically timed so you can take advantage of the Milky Way rising in the east and learn how to get the best out of your Milky Way photos for the upcoming Milky Way season. Our position on the west coast of Australia provides many great opportunities for this time of year so let’s make the most of it!
Held at Perth Observatory, The first night will cover the “how-to” of Milky Way photography – What hardware (tripod, camera, mounts, lenses, etc) you would use, how to use it, camera settings, and much more.
On the second night, you’ll be taking photos of the night sky at the Perth Observatory viewing area. If the night is raining or too cloudy, there will be a two-hour beginner’s image processing workshop. The image processing workshop will go into noise reduction techniques, colour balance, levels, curves and saturation, the histogram of an image and an introduction to stacking images so you can edit your images of the Milky Way after you’ve taken them to get the best out of the images.
To book your spot on the Spring into Milky Way Photography Workshop right now, you need to enter the number of people coming in and then click the date in the booking calendar.
